Construction of this church began on 16 September 1906, when the foundation stone was laid. It opened on 12 September 1907. A single-nave building of fieldstone and brick in the Gothic style, with a tower at the side crowned by a ridge ornament. Inside, a vaulted wooden ceiling; above the chancel, a massive net vault. The pulpit, the organ front and the altar with the Crucifixion were painted with exquisite ornament.

The church's paintings were executed by craftsmen from Berlin and Frankfurt in 1909. The organ was built by the Goebel firm of Königsberg.

In 1945, during the fighting, the tower was damaged by a shell. The church itself remained intact. In 1954 the bell was taken down and handed in as scrap metal. In 1956–57 the church was set on fire by local youths. The rafters burned and the roof collapsed. Later the walls were dismantled, and since the bricks were of non-standard size, they were used to repair roads. As of 1990 only part of the tower survived.
