Panjes was founded in 1819. It was a small village (Vorwerk) consisting of a single farmstead, part of the Gutsbezirk Kirpehnen (Povarovka) in the Kreis Fischhausen (Primorsk; from 1939 it became part of the Landkreis Samland). The village belonged to the parish of Germau (Russkoye). On 13 June 1874, as part of the Gutsbezirk Kirpehnen (Povarovka), the village of Panjes was included in the newly established Amtsbezirk Germau (Russkoye).
In 1884 the Palmnicken – Fischhausen railway line (Yantarny – Primorsk) was built; it passed close to the village of Panjes, but no station for the villagers was provided on it.
After the Gutsbezirk Kirpehnen (Povarovka) was abolished on 30 September 1928 and became part of the rural community of Germau (Russkoye), the village of Panjes also came to belong to this community.
On 5 July 1950 Panjes was renamed the settlement of Osokino. Initially the settlement was part of the Yantarny Village Council. In 1955 Osokino had 8 houses. From 1959 it was part of the Povarovka Village Council. In the 1980s–90s the settlement still had 8 houses. In the 1990s a horticultural partnership was laid out north-west of the settlement of Osokino. In 2018 the railway near the settlement was dismantled. As of 2018 the settlement has about 15 houses.
Population change: 1871 – 10, 1905 – 4, 1984 – 20, 2002 – 20, 2010 – 16 inhabitants.
