The first Protestant church stood one kilometre north-east of Kleschowen. The second was consecrated in 1749. The building was made of fieldstones, without a tower, with four window openings in segmental arches on each side. It measured 22.5 x 11 m. In 1833 a free-standing bell tower was built on the west side.
The church furnishings included two altar candlesticks, a chalice of 1701 with its paten, an engraved silver wafer box and a brass font.

The organ from the Tragheim Church in Königsberg was bought by Darkehmen in 1754. Two bells were cast in 1701 and 1836.
After the war the church was in fairly good condition. But by 1989 all that remained of it was a fragment of wall by the road.
