Dmitry Polyansky
Philosopher, anthropologist
A second-generation native of Kaliningrad. Graduated in philosophy from the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (at the time, in 2002, it was called Kaliningrad State University). Since then he has taught a whole host of subjects at his alma mater, and even more as a part-time lecturer at other educational institutions in the city and the region. Personal and professional motto: whenever you're not sure what's going on, give a lecture on the subject. Defended a Candidate of Sciences dissertation in social philosophy in 2008. These days I'm more interested in human nature, and more specifically in the nature of the masculine and the feminine. My first degree was in medicine, and that has left its mark. I still haven't given up hope of one day becoming a practising psychotherapist.
