Vadim Chaly

Born in Kaliningrad, he went to kindergarten on Komsomolskaya Street and to school on Pionerskaya Street. He has worked as a car washer, translator, petrol station attendant, musician, loader, airline ticket agent and postman, and has been a student at the Faculty of Economics and a postgraduate at the Department of Philosophy. He knows and loves the city, which for him is full of friends and acquaintances, all kinds of stories and a beauty all its own. He has at times lived for long periods in various countries, and his relationship with the city has been tested by many months of separation. He currently lives on Muzykalnaya Street, is raising two daughters, heads the Department of Philosophy at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, plays the guitar and goes windsurfing on the sea. He can't imagine anything better.

Happy Birthday to Our City's Most Famous Resident!

What does it matter to us ordinary Kaliningraders that Immanuel Kant once lived in this city?
